So not only no meat. But no dairy, eggs, wool, etc.

My mom calls it "extreme vegetarianism." Basically, I avoid products which result from the exploitation of animals: No meat, dairy, eggs, honey or other bee products; silk, wool, leather, or fur. I don't use stuff with lanolin (a byproduct of wool). I try to avoid buying products from companies that engage in animal testing.
It's a lifestyle, really, while vegetarian is primarily dietary.

while a vegetarian does not eat animal flesh, the vegan goes even further to not eat any product that is produced from an animal....no milk, milk products or variations...as example...
even leather shoes are not a likely choice for a vegan since the well bing of animals supercedes the need for the use of animals for any commercial use....
a very noble and good cause...

Vegan is where you don't eat anything that comes from animals. For example...eggs, cheese, milk, I would guess ice cream too because it has milk in it...but yeah...who gave me thumbs down!?
