First off, politically, both you and some answerers seem to be under the common but erroneous understanding that 'conservative' equates to 'Republican' and that 'liberal' equates to 'Democrat'.
It's far more complex than this I'm afraid, as politics and people are not as simple and linear as some think.
I consider myself a strict Constitutionalist, and some views are conservative and some liberal and some just middle-of-the-road.
Yes, to answer the question, Yahoo! has an extreme anti-gun agenda, as do many in the media.
In their simplistic view, guns kill people and that's "BAD". By small-minded extrapolation, people who like or use of collect guns must be evil and so on.
It's flawed logic based on a flawed premise, and unfortunately many people in the USA and in other "civilized" countries seem to forget history.......how those with guns determine their own fate and those without guns are at the mercy and rule of others.
As to our European friend who considers Europe more "civilised" than America......start 50 years back and go back 2000 years and you will find the most brutal, most murderous and most warlike peoples to have ever walked the face of the earth....Europeans. Enough said there. Our violence pales in comparison.
But Yahoo!'s bias does not end with just guns. That bias goes to a class of people they consider backwards, brutal and undeserving of their history, heritage and culture.
"What?" you say.....uber-Liberals biased against race and culture?
Yes, when that race is White and that culture is rural, or Southern, or small-town or Christian or conservative.

I am not sure what needs to be done but it seems to me we need a little more detailed section for us. There is an obvious difference between someone who needs helps field stripping and cleaning his AR-15 and someone that wants to know which gauge to hunt ducks with. Guns and gun control are big issues in the United States, something would be nice but..
Look at the "military" section. There is little talk from military types, it is mostly just people who want to scream "Hang Bush!" and "End War for Oil!", very little serious military based conversation. If we get a section of our own, we too will be targeted by anti-gun types and instead of having intelligent, civilized conversation about firearms we will be plagued by people who want to say nothing more than they hate guns every opportunity they get. I think we are better off just being left where we are when you think about it, we don't get much interferance from opposition and pretty much everyone who wants to talk guns goes to hunting anyway, no real benefits or need for a change.
About the kids asking about killing someone in the head with a .22, it is actually a very common question and isn't as morbid as many first think it is. After shooting, kids will see the size of their casing is much smaller than anyone elses casings ( they are probably comparing their .22 casing to a 8mm Mauser casing). So they ask themselves, could my tiny thing actually even hurt someone? They have been told it does but want to clarify, they ask and since the adult knows they know more they will say something like "Well, not always, it depends where they get hit.". Children know the "weak spot" is the head and face that is the legendary "one shot, one kill" location, so going with that knowledge they ask, "What if they were shot in the head/face?" I have seen this happen at least 3 times with 3 different children, from different states, from different families... one of the child's parents was actually very anti-gun. It is not to learn how to kill people, it is to understand power. They don't know what FPS is or what it means, they don't understand caliber and velocity and such, they know people are weaker in certain places and they use that to compare.

Adrenaline Junky, you do realize who's term in office where that '94 assault weapons ban came, right? Bill Clinton was a Democrat.
I doubt Yahoo is biased, probably because there are places of greater interest, it's a pretty small community in the hunting section.
I use handguns for protection. I'm more likely to go to jail if I defend my home with an AK-47 or an AR-15

Well, they try to have sections for what they assume to be the largest categories.
I don't understand why you would want that. If anyone is looking for reliable information on firearms, go to a firearms forum with intelligent posters like AR15.com.
If you read through the posts here, 75% of what people write is completely uninformed nonsense, just opinions.
Yahoo is American...
Go to AR-15.com so you can rant about how liberalism is destorying America, you'll fit right in lol.
Good info on that site for gun info, but all the members are mostly ultra-right wing radicals.

By your logic, yahoo is anti everything they don't have a specific category for in answers. I hunt, I target shoot, I shoot competition silhouette, and I also use the yahoo answers hunting section, like everyone else does, for firearms related questions. What I'd really like to see is a specific section on yahoo for paintball, airsoft, bbgun and other similar toys, these really do not belong in the hunting section. I know this is probably going to enrage a few kiddies here, who seem to think that paintball and airsoft are real firearms, they simply aren't! MAYBE a few air rifles of high quality and FPS might be considered as something other than a toy, but not not many.

The liberal left wing give our country away and get screwed type people are everywhere; but I don't think Yahoo is biased, they can only do so much. Besides there are any number of sites already available for gun discussions, and Yahoo probably wants to keep their selections as broad as possible.

When I seen a 14 year old asking a question that said, "will a .22 kill somebody if I shoot them in the head?", I thought whoa... wait a minute.
This forum has kids that looking for help on their homework, asking about puberty aqnd trying pass a drivers test. There are plenty of other forums that offer that kind of conversation.
By the way, I am a life member of the NRA and a Democrat. Don't buy into the propaganda that it is only Democrats that want to take away your guns.
Richard Nixon (R) attempted to illegalize handguns and allow Rifles/Shotguns by permit only.
Ronald Reagan (R) stood on the floors of Congress two years in a row urging people to sign this into law. Brady Bill... where do you think the name came from... that's right, Ronald Reagans press secretary, Jim Brady.
George Bush (the first) pushed through congress a ban on imported (so-called) assault rifles.
Rudy Gulliani (R) ... c'mon the toughest gun laws in the country.
George Patakki (R) Gov. of NY, he liked so much what Rudy G did, he implemented many of those laws statewide.
George Dukemejan (R) Gov. of California; The originator of the "ban list" with 47 guns on the list.
I can go on and on... Republican just like you to think that they are protecting your guns as they are sending your job to MExico.

Yahoo is a media company.
Here in the U.S. we are unfortunately forced to deal with media companies who embrace the liberal agenda.
It's a wonder they even have a hunting section.
I guess the reason they allow IT,
is so the anti-hunters will have a place to hate-upon hunters,
and the anti-gunners will have a place to hate-on gun owners.
Best we can do is to defend our positions dispassionately and factually in the forum they allow us to have.
That and don't give up.

Duck RIFLES? I suppose they do that somewhere.
I get your point though, and agree there should be a dedicated firearms section.

It's not so much being "anti-gun" as it is ignorance. Many people think of guns in society and they think of cops, robbers, and.........hunters.
