This is a little embarresing, but a read scab has appeared on my forskin, it's only mildly uncomfortable, but it's worrying. I have been well, beating the meat a lot lately, so prehaps its just cut it. I'd worry it's an STD, but I haven't had sex for a few months now, so I doubt it.

I think you have answered your own question. Nothing embarrassing here, I just think you have been loving yourself too often and maybe too roughly.
Lay off for a couple days, take regular showers, and if the problem goes away you have got it all figured out.
Do see a doctor if you still have a scab after a week, and you have been gentle with yourself. Good luck!

Any red scabs, of mildly discomfort, that appear on the foreskin should be of a great concern.
If you've been having sex a lot without protection you should get your butt to your dr. asap. Even if it was with protection. That could be something from a slight irritation to herpes. Herpes doesn't have a cure ya know. It can spread to other part of your body if you're not careful and you could spread it to your sexual partners.

Get tested for syphyllis and everything else. There is an incubation period so it doesn't matter if you haven't had sex recently.

herpes can take years to manifest, suggest you get that wound cultured, so you aren't passing it around to whom ever you sleep with next.
