This is an odd question to post here. The regular people who post here ARE vegetarian. What do I think of myself and other vegetarians? That's hard to answer because you cant just lump all people into one group and think they are all the same.

Being like minded about vegetarianism does not mean I'm going to like minded about other things with every single vegetarian.

What if I asked you "What do you think of people who watch CSI"? See what I mean?

We recently switched to being vegetarians after we saw a special on T.V. about how they are feeding the cattle and pigs parts of other dead animals as food instead of corn or grain. It nearly made us sick to see this and decided if that is what is going on, we are not going to eat any more meat. We actually feel better since we changed our diet.
People have to do what they think is right for them. The meat thing may not bother others.

I don't usually think about people in terms of their diet. There are people who constantly want to tell other people how they should eat, but I haven't found vegetarians to be more guilty of that behavior than others.

They are awesome, thoughtful people !I think some can be preachy, and I think so people like to tag the name to themselves to fit in with a group or friend but still consume fish or 'pepperoni pizza' are are ridiculous.

But I think a true V&V is one that doesn't preach too much, and waits until others see the light and welcomes them openly.

Honestly I think they are misguided and misinformed as to the true benefits of a vegetarian diet.

I also get tired of the "holier or healthier than thou" attitude most of them seem to have

I could get really nasty, but you wanted an honest answer so here it is.

If they truly cared for animals they would not partake in the mainstream dairy industry, such as it is. They're not abolitionists, they are welfarists. But if you cared about someone's welfare, would you use them? The best thing a person can do for the animals, is to go vegan.

If you're disgusted in the treatment of animals, how can you justify milk? It's dumb.

Of course it is better than eating meat, but in serious Animal Lib philosophy, they're children.
