My school has nothing vegetarian, and I won't get to eat anything. Also I don't want to bring food to school, because every time anybody I know brings food to school, they never even get to eat it because other people ask for some or want. Some stupid people even steal it if you don't give them, or they'll just follow you around and beg even if they hardly know you.

It depends on the school boards decision wheather they serve vegetarian or not. My school didn't serve anything either but they did have peanut butter and jelly which isn't vegan but it was the closest thing I could find. They normally cost more than a meal with meat though so I suppose that tells you about the quality of meat. I would suggest you bring your own food but don't let those stupid people talk you into giving them your food and keep an eye on your lunch box so they don't take it. You can also write to the school board asking that they offer one or two vegetarian options. Make sure you tell them this would satisy people with religous beliefs against eating certain meats and help with those on diets for high blood pressure and diabetes. Even suggest a few meals.

Schools should be required to do this. I'm a college student & it's difficult to find anything good if I don't bring something myself. Also, I know some elementary-age vegetarians who *do* get their lunches & snacks stolen & other kids often want to partake in their "twigs & bark." Like a lot of kids, these young vegetarians are somewhat "picky" & their parents make sure that their lunch boxes are packed with meatless delights.

i do no longer think of there is any federal regulation like that contained in the States, notwithstanding according to risk on the State point. i understand contained in the united kingdom, faculties do, yet i'm uncertain if it incredibly is incredibly required. I went to a public extreme college in Alabama. They provided lots of vegetarian ideas (no longer for the main lunch even with the undeniable fact that), mutually with cheese pizza, a salad bar, grilled cheese sandwiches, pasta with tomato or cheese sauce, a baked potato bar, nachos. besides, you ought to no longer base your selection on what the college's coverage is. you could continuously convey your guy or woman lunch. plenty tastier and fit for you.

Too bad. My school serves shiit for lunch that stays under a hot light bulb all day collecting bacteria. Thank God that I'm going into high school after this summer and we will get Subway, Pizza Hut, ect.

I don't think it is required, but most do have some kinda side item that is... if not, talk to ur school precipal about that issue, if he/she dosn't want to do anything for you, get your parents to talk to them. you can also jus bring a bag of nuts or dryed fruit to snack on between classes... good luck hun! =)

all your school serves is meat? they have nothing else? that's odd... the only thing i can suggest is to just bring a lunch and deal with other people asking for food, you just gotta tell them no.

It is NOT a requirement in US public schools to provide vegetarian meals. If you aren't willing to bring something to eat, then don't complain.
