If they found something they would tell you. But honestly, they wouldn't be able to tell by running a cholesterol test - because your cholesterol level is all they would be testing for.
To find out if you have an STD they would need to run specific tests and actually check them for that purpose.

A person can find out if he has an STD only by getting tested. If you just had a cholesterol level done, there's no way for the doctor to be able to tell you're infected with an STD or have HIV. If you do decide to get tested for STD, the doctor needs to inform you of the results and give you treatment options if needed.

Tests for STDs...especially HIV...cannot be done without a person's knowledge and consent.
It's the law.
Also, some STDs are tested for with blood samples.
If you have never had sex or engaged in sexual activities with someone, you have nothing to worry about. Please note that you do not have to have sexual intercourse to expose yourself to STDs...oral sex and mutual masturbation can expose you too.

No. To my knowledge it is illegal in most states for a doctor to do STD tests on someone's blood without their consent/knowledge. Unless they actually do a test looking for HIV then they wouldn't see it. To answer your question--if they found it then YES they would tell you, but NO they shouldn't be screening for it. If you are worried, just ask your doctor to be screened! Good luck

When they take your blood, they draw it into vacutainer tubes. The one with the red top is to test your cholesteral. If they put blood in another tube, they are running more than one test. I'm not sure what tube they use for the tests you refer to.

there's no way you can get HIV or AIDS unless, you pricked yourself with a dirty needle or had sex with someone with the disease. so don't worry. masturbating won't give you an STD.

I dont think so I think you need to request to be tested. If you are so nervous I think you go and get tested so you can have a peace of mind.

no, if they didn't do any tests for std's then they wouldn't tell you if you had one. if you think you have an std tell the doctor to test for them.
