I just hope it is not for a very young child's birthday. Imagine the mess they will create. I also think they will either quickly bored with the idea, or start playing with it. It might be a better idea to get them some great craft kit they could put together and some great stuff for their goody bag. Unless you plan to use it for a party you might be giving, I think you could spend the money on something else to impress the children.

The Rival chocolate fountain is really good and its a great value. i got mine at linens n things, which is on sale online for $40 but i just looked at best buy and they have it for $30

They're awesome! get one thats dishwasher safe. If not, it can be areal pain getting the chocolate out of the rise tube. Oh, and don't get a huge one, takes a LOT of chocolate to get that thing moving.

There is only one brand sold at walmart, I bought that for my wine tasting party. It worked well and was on sale for $50 or $60!

wal mart haz the bestthey have 3 layers and the cholate comes out the top and runs doun it its really cool comming from an 12 year old.

there is a chocolate fountain @ walmart for 29.92 and i think it works pretty good it's in stock online also.
