I take a prescription for allergies everyday and my sugar levels as a diabetic seem to be elevating? Could it be the allergy medication doing this?

^It's very possible, call your doctor, also you can look up your medication on the web, just go to webmd.com. Remember anything including over the counter and even if it's from the health store can raise glucose levels, also creams like cortisone can as well. Good luck, I hope this helped.

Well, it would depend on what allergy medication that you are taking. Did the same Doc who is monitoring your Diabetes prescribe the allergy medication?? The best thing to do would be to contact your Doc's office. Let she/he take it from there. Any changes in your weight, diet, exercise routine, any recent infection.etc., because these could cause fluctuations in your blood sugar levels. I hope that this helps.

depends, is your medication a steroid? steroids always elevate blood sugars. otherwise, the usual allergy meds don't elevate sugars.

Ask your doctor. Depends upon your total medication profile.
