Peanut butter (:
Haha, it seems like a staple to most houses I go to along with jelly and bread, for a PB&J sandwich! That would be a good lunch, and for breakfast something kind of simple like an omlette made with egga and anything else you want to throw in like vegetables or bacon or cheese. For dinner you could bake chicken or grill a steak, or make a burger, yum. For side dishes, potato salad or macaroni salad?

Heres a recipe for both -

Potato Salad Recipes

Ingredients:
5 pounds red potatoes
6 eggs
2 cups mayonnaise
1 onion, diced
2 green onions, thinly sliced
1 small green bell pepper, seeded and diced
3 stalks celery, thinly sliced
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions:

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add potatoes, and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, or until tender but still firm. Drain, cool and cut into cubes.

Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring water to a boil and immediately remove from heat. Cover and let eggs stand in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from hot water, cool, peel and chop.

In a large bowl, combine chopped potatoes and eggs. Mix together mayonnaise, chopped onion, green onion, green pepper, and celery. Season with salt and pepper, then mix well. Cover, and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.

This recipe for American Potato Salad serves/makes 12

That recipe makes a lot, you may want to cut it in half or even smaller, it already serves 12.

INGREDIENTS:

* 2 cups cooked macaroni, drained, rinsed, cooled
* 2 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
* 1/4 cup chopped celery
* 1/4 cup chopped onion
* 1/3 to 1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
* 2 teaspoons sugar
* 2 teaspoons vinegar
* 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
* 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
* pepper, to taste

PREPARATION:
Combine all macaroni salad recipe ingredients, using about 1/3 cup of mayonnaise and stir well. Add a little more mayonnaise, if necessary. Taste and adjust seasonings. Cover and chill for several hours before serving.

Serves 4

Also, for drinks, for the morning you could have tea or coffee or juice like orange or apple, really any flavor. Milk is always good, you can add chocolate syrup or strawberry to make it flavored. And if you want dessert, grab some ice cream or make a shake!

Hope that helps!

There's a difference between African cuisine and African American. African cuisine is broad! There are so many different cultures in African. Look into Ethiopian cuisine. Yum. When people say African American, I assume they mean Southern cuisine, soul food. I'm more familiar with Caribbean specifically Jamaican and Guyanese cuisine since that's my culture.

Eggs or cereal for breakfast.

Lunch is a sandwich, hamburger or soup

Dinner is the big meal and we usually have meat (chicken, beef, sometimes fish), bread, a starch like potatoe or rice and a vegetable or salad.

Now Americans eat out more than ever and that is usually Italian, Mexican or Chinese food.

Potatoes, breakfast, lunch or supper (different forms usually).

Breakfast - I prefer eggs and sausage, but sometimes oatmeal. Others prefer commercial cereal

Lunch - sandwich, soup, leftovers

Dinner - roast beef, chicken stir fry, or cheesy pasta. Salad, rice or potatoes.

The funny thing about your question; is that American cuisine is not "American" it's a variation of European, Asian, and African.

for instance:

Breakfast- Waffles (Belgium)
Lunch- Soup and Sandwich (English)
Dinner- Fried Chicken (African) mashed potatoes (Irish) and corn on the cob (Native American: which is about the only true American food)

*and before anyone marks me for saying fried chicken is not from African cusine, you need to do your homework, it is a dish that dates as far back as ancient egypt!
