I'm a bodybuilder and sometimes I get trouble breathing normally; after walking a flight of stairs of around 20 steps, I sometimes have to breath through my mouth. After eating it's the same thing. It's been happening to me for quite some time now.

Can anyone help me out?
And if you're also a bodybuilder, does this happen to you?

I heard some pro bodybuilders have the same problems.

Yeah, definitely go to a doctor... you may also have a hernia(not necessarily in the groin), but there is numerous possibilities. Be advised that our medical system sometimes takes a long time to do anything, and you have to push to find out what was wrong. (sometimes years)

I am no bodybuilder but I can try to help. From whatever you have provided it looks like an exercise induced asthma or a gastro esophageal reflux disease(GERD) which is causing this. Both are potentially non serious conditions.A respiratory physician would be the right person to help you.He needs to run a few tests like Chest X Ray,blood tests and exercise lung function tests just to see what you lung functions are when the same kind of exercise is simulated in the investigation room.
By the way, are you a smoker, and do you have a family history of asthma? When you get breathless, do you hear wheezing(musical) sounds from your chest?
Go and meet the Chest Specialist as early a s possible. Remember, only he can diagnose Asthma(after the tests of course!), until then you cannot be labelled an asthmatic.Good luck!

See a doctor. Bodybuilding does not make you immune to disease.
