Don't know so much about games...but if you put on some of your favorite music with a good pounding beat...one you like move to and even some that you sing to --you can be the star as you ready your stage for tomorrows performance.

Hint: get clothes washer and dish washer going first so you can Wash away the blues while you grab a trash bag or two and gather anything that can be going, going, gone.

Then you can dust before you vacuuming, or sweep, dust, then mop as you dance around like Cinderella doing tasks set by the wicked stepmother, before you can sneak away to bath before the ball.

A couple boxes/bags or two to shove stuff in that you just don't have time to deal with will come in handy. Or if stuff is out of place; label containers for appropriate room as you run a relay race to deliver said things to their proper container ready to go to their proper place.

Candles, mood music, bubble bath, your favorite beverage can reward you after you finish cleaning the bathroom and get ready to turn in to bed.

NOW, GET the music playing and Move to the Beat!
Get your castle gleaming, Get off your seat,
Turn off the computer, or you'll never get done...
'Cause tomorrow....you just want to have fun!

One thing I used to do w/ my kids was a "Ten-Second Tidy." You can make it a "Ten-Minute Tidy" and see how much you can get done in 10 minutes.

I also did the alphabet game. This is great for when you dont' know where to start. Start by picking up all things out of place that start w/ A (apple cores, apron), then B (baseball glove, bunched up paper, boots), then C (candy wrappers, cards, cords) and so on.

Think about your birthday while you clean up. Imagine the fun you will have-the gifts, the cake, the games. Think of any last-minute things--what kind of pizza?

or, you could sing the cleanup song.

Clean up, clean up, everybody everywhere
clean up, clean up, everybody do your share.
