Some people don't show signs of genital herpes for months and even years after contracting the virus.
It's estimated about 1 in 4 women have genital herpes, while 1 in 5 men have it and as much as 80% of them don't realize they have it!
It's possible you contracted the virus years ago and just didn't know! I know how frustrating it can be! Good luck and take care!

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/herpesCures2o150xH3
Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

It is true.
Symptoms of herpes usually develop within 2 to 20 days after contact with the virus, although it could take longer. These symptoms may last up to several weeks, varying from one person to the next. In many people, the first infection is so mild that it goes unnoticed. In others, the first attack causes visible sores. Even so, subsequent recurrences of the disease may cause lesions. When the sores are completely healed, the active phase of infection is over. Healing of the skin usually leaves no scars. In either case, the virus retreats into the nervous system and lies dormant.

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2. I have been with the same man for the past 10 years and within the last year found out that he has cheated on me with numerous women. I am so scared that I can give it to my children by kissing them and them eating with me...I feel like my whole life has changed. And even though the nurses, my doctor, and websites say that a lot of people have it I still feel like I am by myself. My self esteem has dropped and I feel like I have been used up. But now, My life is very happy.

highly possible, some people rarely have outbreaks, it varies a great deal from person to person. in fact, the majority of people with herpes dont even know they have it because they dont have outbreaks. this has been proven in medical studies where people have their blood antibodies tested for herpes

Some people NEVER have an outbreak. Its all triggered by stress and a weak immune system. If you take care of yourself, you won't have to worry about an outbreak.

Yes but she could have given it to you.
Herpes can live latent in your body. You can have herpes and it never shows up or can show up all the time or shows up after years.

It could be dominant in you and it's just coming out. As for the same for her if you haven't been with any one in fours yrs like you said it's very possible that she has been with some one.
