Do a BMI test and find out where u are then work towards your ideal weight how ever what you are doing to loose the weight is bad for you instead stick to your RDA (recommended daily amounts) and eat 3 SQUARE meals a day. do 1- 2 hrs of exercize a day and do 10000 steps aday!

Honey, while you do weigh more than you should, not eating is not the answer. Right now, your body is doing a lot of growing, so it needs the nutrition.

What you need to do is eat sensibly. Get your parents to help.

Don't drink sodas or eat junk food. All those little cookies and potato chips add up.

Instead, eat apples and oranges, And fresh fruits and vegetables. And drink lots of water to help fill you up. And try to use whole-grain breads for your sandwiches. The breads are actually very tasty!

And by all means, get exercise. Your coach at school will be able to help you, when you go back. In the meanwhile, you can always walk. It's best to do this in the early morning, before it gets too hot outside.

Good luck!

Yes you are, but not eating will simply slow down your metabolism, meaning that any food you did eventually eat would be turned to fat, to protect the body from shortage of food.

You must eat regular meals, but maybe reduce the size of the portions and improve the quality, and at the same time start taking more exercise to tone up muscles, get joints working and get the metabolism speeding up.

You are 12 and too young to worry about being fat or thin right now. Your body is not yet fully developed so you can't tell if you are fat right now. Contentrate of school and staying active, eating healthy and growing properly.

I understand young girls see alot of things in our society that makes them want to be thin and pretty, however at 12 that should not be your concern, your priorities need to be with school and being a good person.

Wait till your older to deal with this, you have a lot of time to "feel fat"

Only a little overweight. You should decide how many calories you want in your diet, and then I would recomend looking for items that are low calorie, but also low fat, but it all depends on what you are doing for your diet. The main thing for a diet to work is just to consume fewer calories than what you are burning, so lower calorie is best. But the thing about just lower calorie is that you don't want to get something that is lower calorie, but still has a ton of fat, and you don't want to get something that is low calorie but with a ton of sugar. Just look at the labels and you need to figure out what fits into YOUR diet

If you feel uncomfortable with yourself than why would you not eat? Why not just eat fruit, salads and fresh veggies instead?

Would be sooo much easier than not eating at all.

Also..when my husband passed away in jan. I was starving myself (but not on purpose!) I just could not eat and it didnt take long and my body was in a starving mode...its not pretty. I felt weak and tired all the time, every now and than I would just vomit with no indication that Im going to, and it emotionally drains you to where you dont care about anything.(I know my greiving had alot to do with that part too, but so did not being healthy)

Normally i think ur fine i think you have somethin 2 worry about when u get older, so yeah if i thought i was fat i would stop whining and have the will power not to say that anymore and be proud of my self.

well, first of all, your body is doing all sorts of weird things at 12, so don't freak out. calculate your BMI to tell you if you are overweight or not. This is the calculator for children and teens.

Your not fat, but you should probably choose to excercise more instead of not eating. You don't want to end up bulimic.
