Stay away from fried foods, that includes anything with a breading - chips - eggs - the white foods (white bread, white rice, white potatoes) Pretty much anything that tastes good. I've had to work on that too and I'm having a difficult time. Hope you have better luck than I am.

Fish oils and the omega 3-fatty acids.

If your triglycerides are high, try taking a fish oil supplement and increasing your intake of healthy fatty fish (salmon and tuna)

A bowl or two of oatmeal a day.
Avoid red meats.
Grilled instead of fried fish.
Lots of green salads and fresh fruits.
