"One out of three sexually active older adults infected with HIV has unprotected sex", according to a study by Ohio University researchers. A survey of 260 HIV-positive older adults found that of those having sex, most were male, took Viagra and were in a relationship.

Why do you think the majority of men who are HIV positive are having unprotected sex? I hope it's because they are in a relationship with someone else who is also HIV positive, but if they're not, why are they exposing their partner(s) to HIV? Why aren't these people taking responsibility for their actions?

The reason they have HIV is because the have unproductive sex. The older generation does not worry about HIV because it has only recently became an issue with them,( they are uneducated about HIV, most believe they are not at risk). Its the Viagra effect, more and more senior citizens are having sex. They do not have to worry about pregnancy and that was the major concern about sex for their generation.

because they think that their partner is telling them teh truth. instaed of them both going to teh dr and showing each other their test results they think they are invincible. especially the older generation. they think bc they were a virgin when thwy got married they have no reason to question a person they are have a relationship with. the truth is you can't trus anyone these days. whether the man is 15 or 65 ..a man will say anything to get in your pants. do the men know they are hiv positive? they may have gotten from a woman and are out fro revenge..it's sad but ive heard of it happening before.

There have been criminal offenses for people having unprotected sex while knowing they were infected. It sounds like we need to step up the penalties and enforcement. The problem is especially bad in Africa. Many of the men there believe having sex with a virgin will cure them of AIDS, and they keep trying it over and over. It is literally worse than shooting someone with a gun, and ought to be punished severely.

If they were careless enough not to protect themselves in the first place, they're probably going to continue their carelessness after the fact. One they have it then they get bitter, and continue their careless ways with intent and malice.

Maybe they're not really concerned about it and they refuse to take their actions into account.

Probably cause if they are having issues and have to use Viagra then they probably are not ejaculating. When you don't ejaculate then there risk to pass it on is greatly reduced.
