50 is a lot. 1 package makes about 20. You have to use water AND Vodka ( or what ever)or it won't work. I have used this recipe with Vodka a few times and it works great with what ever flavor of jello you want. You can try other alcohols but I would do some test runs first What You'll Need Multi-colored Jello Shots(Note: 1 cup = 8 ounces) 6 ounces of Jello or gelatin mix (usually 1 large package) - Any flavor except sugar-free 16 ounces of boiling water 6 ounces of cold water 20 small plastic cups or shot glasses (not too deep unless you want people digging it out with their tongues) Non-stick cooking spray Mixing bowl 10 ounces of 80-proof hard alcohol (Cold). Note: While Vodka is the most common type of alcohol used in jello shots, any type of hard liquor will do. How to Make a Jello Shot Pour the contents of your Jello packet into a large mixing bowl. Mix in the boiling water while stirring gently. Let it sit for a minute so that the gelatin can fully activate. Stir in the alcohol and cold water. Set up your small cups or shot glasses on a serving tray. Give each cup a small spray of cooking oil. This will help keep the Jello from sticking to the bottom. (See above tongue comment) Pour the alcohol/jello/water mixture into the cups or glasses Place your tray of Jello shots in the refrigerator and let them cool for at least two hours. Can keep for a long time in fridge Remove from the fridge and Cheers!

Theres not really a way to keep them from sticking, but instead of crushing the cups or using a spoon, before serving them, Just go around where the cup meets the jell-o with a toothpick, and the jell-o shots will slide out when being 'drank'.

You cant do jello shots in plastic cups, get the small paper cups, so you can just turn them inside out and get all of the jello out of it. Plus the plastic cups cut your mouth, the paper ones dont.

don't use 'em. get the waxed-paper cups that they give you for ketchup at mcdonald's and the like. you can squish 'em to get out whatever is stuck in the bottom (but almost nothing sticks) otherwise you have to dip the plastic in warm water to melt the outer layer of the shot and make it slippery inside the plastic. you can't add oil or "grease" the cup 'cause it'll just float to the top while the jello's still watery

you can try to spray the cups with non stick spray. but when doing shots does it really matter that they stick lol
we sure don't care when we do them.
you can also sit them in a warm water bath for a min or two to loosen the jello and melt it a lil
drink more before you do your jelllo shots and you won't mind the sticking lol

best bet is a very light cooking oil...or you can submerge the cups almost to the rim in hot water for a few second to get the surrounding jello to melt just enough that it will slide out
