No, they are not the same thing.
Genital warts are caused by HPV (Human Papillomavirus). There are over 120 different kinds of HPV - most of those kinds are harmless. But, some of those kinds are responsible for causing warts (including genital warts) and certain kinds of cancer (the most common being cervical cancer). The warts can be treated with medication or removed with surgery, but that doesn't necessarily mean the virus that causes them is gone (HPV). There is no "cure" for HPV infection, although in most women the infection goes away on its own.
Genital herpes is caused by the herpes simplex virus. The herpes simplex virus causes cold sores (oral herpes), genital herpes, chickenpox, shingles, mono, and some other illnesses. There is medication to treat the symptoms of genital herpes, but there is NO cure for herpes.
Both of these viruses can be transmitted by sex (vaginal, oral and anal) and by DIRECT skin to skin contact with the infected area. They can also both be spread through childbirth if the mother has either virus (but this is VERY rare).
Check out the links below for more information about the viruses:

Genital warts are caused by HPV which is different than genital Herpes. Both viruses stay in the body for life. HPV can cause genital warts and possibly cervical Cancer in women. Herpes usually causes a rash like outbreak in the genital area. However, both can be asymptomatic. Both are transmitted through skin-to-skin contact with an infected partner.
The current statistics from the CDC is that about 50% of us have HPV while about 22% of us have genital Herpes.

Genital warts are soft wart-like growths on the genitals caused by a viral skin disease. Genital warts are a type of sexually transmitted disease (STD).
In women, Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) can invade the vagina and cervix. These warts are flat and not easily visible without special procedures. Because HPV can lead to cancerous and precancerous changes in the cervix, it is important that this condition be diagnosed and treated. Regular pap smears are necessary to detect HPV or other abnormal changes related to this virus. Having both HPV and herpes virus together puts you at particular risk for cervical cancer.
Genital herpes (Herpes simplex virus infections) is a sexually transmitted viral infection that is characterized by repeated eruptions of small, painful blisters on the genitals, around the rectum, or covering adjacent areas of skin.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/cureHerpes2015YJOk
Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

Moles, warts, and epidermis tags are common epidermis wounds that develop naturally. Although they're typically low cancerous, they may be uncomfortable if found on a visible part including the face. Epidermis lesions like moles and warts cause self-confidence issues to the sufferers. An individual with moles normally turns into a loner since they don't desire to be observed in public. They think uncomfortable to be out in public places, therefore despair will naturally follow but you will change all this with this guide from here https://tr.im/kiNr0 , Moles, Warts and Skin Tags Removal eBook.
The writer of the eBook, Charles Davidson, is really a practitioner in alternative medicine. He's also a professional in skincare, using normal treatments to remedy different types of epidermis conditions.
Moles, Warts and Skin Tags Removal program is just a 100% natural program, established to get rid of skin deformities such as for instance skin tickets, moles, and warts, no matter how big or small they are. It is even secure to use on children.
