Angina (angina pectoris is the complete name) is not a disease by itself but a symptom of a heart problem, and this happens when insufficient oxygen goes to the heart.
Nitroglycerin is usually the drug of choice for this.
This condition affects many people....and I think whether or not it is reversible, depends on the extent of the damage or the severity of the patient's cardiac condition.
Take your husband to a doctor as soon as possible.

Medication may be in form of drugs or if acertained by angiopgraphy the % of block & no. of vessels which are blocked if needed surgery in form of angioplasty or bypass operation. For this u shud get consulation with acardiologist & required investgation.

I assume your husband has been diagnosed with angina by a physician. Read about angina at http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/angina/DS00994.
As angina can be caused by coronary artery disease, treatment may include surgery (stenting, bypass), medications, and lifestyle changes. However, only a physician, preferrably a cardiologist, can advise your husband which treatment is suited to him.
Do not assume your husband has angina and try to treat it yourself without a physician's diagnosis and recommendations.
