Seems like everytime i read these boards and someone complains of some issue in the downstairs area, they're always told they probably have an std or are pregnant. Why is this always assumed? As far as stds, it could just be some sort of irritation? Itchiness does not always mean std. If your arm was itchy would you tell someone they better get to the dr asap because they probably have an infection?

Maybe it is because with women and that area there is only two possibilites. They either have STDs or they are pregnant.

i know what you mean---but the vagina is a hospitibal place for infections to live---it's dark warm and moist. But there ARE infections that are NOT STD related.
