For about 2weeks, I have been unable to swallow meat or any textured food. Only can eat mushed foods. Sounds weird, but it's true. I feel like I'm starving myself, because I'm hungry, but when I eat I can't swallow. I have tried and if I can swallow I feel like I'm choking on the food or something is left in my throat, like a lump. But only when I eat. Drinking is fine, just eating. I also have a lot of phlegm and spit constantly throughout the day. Any ideas what this could be?

When I was a teenager I had this same problem, not as severe as you, for over a year. I did end up choking on a piece of steak, my dad had to give me the Heimlich maneuver. It was scary. It finally just went away on it's own.
You may want to see a doctor, I have always been the type of person who waits until the last minute to see a doctor.

i think you have dysphagia..Difficulty in swallowing caused by motility disorders may be treated by stretching narrowed passages. Surgery may be necessary to remove obstructions or tumors. Esophageal dysphagia may indicate the possibility of esophageal cancer.
