My mom is giong semi vegetarian and wants to know. she plans to eat eggs, but no meat.

yes, eggs have all of the essential amino acides. Some people even tout eggs as the "perfect" food.

Eggs are alright, but not the greatest source of protein (I believe it's about 6 or 7 grams per egg...while there are 8 grams in a heaping spoonful of peanut butter). You should also not eat more than one per day because one egg fulfills an entire days worth of cholesterol. Skim milk would give you as much protein without the fat, saturated fat, and with less cholesterol. A good protein fix is a peanut butter sandwich on whole grain bread with a glass of skim milk or soymilk. Have that for lunch and you will not get hungry again all day.

Eggs are a good source of protein, and do contain all the essential amino acids, but it is not necessary to eat them to have a healthy vegetarian diet.
