He can ONLY receive type O negative. While O negative is the universal donor, a person with that type cannot receive any other type.
A transfusion of O positive could cause an allergic reaction and could possibly be fatal.

Your brother is the "universal donor". He can donate to ANYONE, but he can only RECEIVE blood from an O negative person.
Type AB+ blood is the "universal receiver". A person with AB+ blood can receive blood from ANYONE, but can only give blood to an AB+ person.

Your brother can recieve blood from ONLY group O. He can however donate to any group as O negative is thought to be the universal blood group. Hope this helps. :-)

O negative can only get O negative. he can only get blood from someone with exactly the same blood type but he can give blood to anyone, any blood type. hes the universal donor wheras AB+ is the universal acceptor, they can get any type of blood btu cant give it to anyone but themselves.

he can only accept O type blood. That is the most common blood type so he should have a problem.
