If you get a low blood sugar attack I have a great thing that will bring your blood sugar right back to normal. This trick was tought to me by someone who works for the largest drug company in Israel when she was with me and I had a bad attack. Get a caffinated cup of coffee, helps if it is iced, put a lot of sugar in it and then put a lot of milk in it and drink it down. The caffine stimulates you and helps get the sugar into your system, the ice helps get the coffee into your system faster, the milk coats your stomach so the caffine doesn't hurt your stomach and coats it. By the time you are done with the coffee you are usually back to normal. It is amazing. Better than eating candy, orange juice, cheese, all the other things I had been told to try before. You are ready to go immediatly. It will rehydrate you and give you energy. As far as the stress, well, you should probably just go take a nap.

Low blood sugar: immediately offer the person a candy bar, a soda, some orange juice, something with a lot of sugar to bring their level up quickly, then they need to eat a well-balanced meal as soon as possible. If they go to the hospital, they will be released as soon as levels become normal again.

Dehydration: give them water! Get them into the shade or a cool place to stop them from sweating anymore. If they actually collapse from it, they need hospitalization immediately, where they will receive an IV to rehydrate them quickly.

Exhaustion: Call an ambulance, because it is probably something else, unless you mean heat exhaustion. In the case of heat exhaustion collapse, you must get them cool and call an ambulance. Treatment will depend on the extent of their injuries.

Stress collapses need hospitalization as well so the person can be seen by a qualified mental health professional and evaluated for their own safety.

Those symptoms go with a lot of other things other than just hypogly!! 62 is barely in the normal range. Try avoiding most sugar stuff, starchy stuff! Eat more fruits and veggies and meats. You should be fine. Take a bunch of little packets of nuts with you for when you need snacks. For people with Hypo this isn't unlike those with Hyper!! They are overly sensitive to insulin made naturally in the bod. If they avoid any foods that turn rapidly to sugar, they avoid the excess insulin these foods cause! Avoiding the sugary and starchy foods also has another advantage!! It helps control weight if you are over weight. NO! don't wear a medic alert for something that isn't diagnosed!! What I am thinking is you are suffering from Nerves or Anxiety! this is different from being hypoglycemic. Most people are in the 60 to 80 glucose range at rest!! When glucose goes below 60 is time to worry!

If the victim is unconscious or nearly so (collapsed), the treatment is to-
- check the scene
- check victim for consciousness, if unconscious....
- call 911
- check victims breathing, pulse
- check for treatable conditions, treat anything possible
- put in recovery position

If the victim is conscious-
- check scene
- check victim for consciousness, if conscious...
- get consent to treat
- check head to toe, ask questions about condition
- if a 911 emergency is found, call ASAP
- if diabetic emergency is involved, offer sugar or sugar water (pop, juice, sugary water, plain sugar. Not hard candy, crackers, or candy at this stage- too long to metabolize)
- treat for shock

low blood sugar ALONE without other symptoms may be treated with 1 amp of D50 dextrose solution, or some juice, or some candy.

low blood sugar WITH all your other symptoms may represent ADRENAL INSUFFICIENCY, which is life threatening. This usually happens if you've been on corticosteroids and you suddenly stop the medications.
