does any one else have a barmy yorkie? Our female dogs party trick is weeing . bearing in mind that most females will squat she not only squats but also cocks one leg like a male dog and also stands on her two front legs like an acrobat is this normal?
Does anyone else have a pet with crazy antics?

Females can and do sometimes mark like a male dog. Also we have a male chihuahua that will stand on its 2 front legs and walk while peeing.

We do not have Yorkies, But we have one female bichon that always lifts her leg to pee when she is in heat. The rest of the time she squats like she normally would.

This 'girlie' Yorkie sounds the IDEAL mate for one of my Yorkie boys, Teddy!
When he's not 'riding' my neutered male Siamese, he's just on the lookout for a mate as crazy as he is! What a shame you probably don't live round the corner from us. Of course your Yorkie is special! We love her already!!!

HAHA! This reminds me of my nanas yorkie, she used to get so excited when she had visitors she would run al over the house and up the back of the sofas and pee at the same time, this was funny for me but not for my nana!

She may be part circus dog! All dogs are individuals - like humans. One dog we had liked to climb up posts with his back legs to do a poo. He also would walk on his front two legs It was hilarious to watch.

If she is doing this, she is probably an intact female. Females mark territory just like males. The answer is to spay her.

I have seen them do it before, so not entirely unusual! If she has any attitude it may be she is trying to be dominant over your other dogs, or even you!
