I have been bestfriends with this girl, Presley, since 3rd grade and I am now a Junior (11th grade). Well I met this guy, Darryl, and him and I have been getting close lately, Like I like him and he likes me but he has a funny way of showing it,( Like I was filling out a survey and it asked, Does anyone have a crush on you?, well I was on the phone with him and I read it out loud and he said "Yea, I do" and when I asked what he said he said it again. And he always says Im beautiful, like when I start looking down on myself hell always tell me "Have no worries, your beautiful and I'll always be by your side. Oh and he said hes my new bestfriend) Well a while ago Presley asked if I liked him and I said no, becuase at the time I didnt. Well now after me & him spending so much time together and being on the phone all the time Ive started to like him. And well Presley likes him to, but he says he doesnt like her. Well he wants to take me to a concert (and has plans to ask me out). Confused

I don't think your backstabbing her. You never lied, it's just that your feelings changed. You should tell your friend you like him. Oh and go to the concert with him.

No, it is not stabbing your best friend in the back. Just be honest with her, like you did here. Tell her that you have been talking to Darryl a lot and have come to like him more than you first thought. If he wants to take you to a concert, accept and go with him and have fun. Just because she likes him, does not make him like her. Maybe he has a friend who would go out with Presley? Then you could double date... think what fun!

Ah, highschool.... I'd like to say I miss it, but nope, no sir, after you grow up, you realize highschool sucked, and not just because of all the homework, but this drama stuff right here.
As I told another poster, 95% of people never see each other again after highschool, so if 'seeing' this guy causes you to lose her friendship than A) Guess she wasn't much of a friend and B)No worries, you most likely won't see her in the next couple years ever again.
Then again, you're too young to let a boy come between a decent friendship.
At this point, it's just a concert. Tell her he asked you. Tell her you want to go, and tell her you're letting her know because you didn't want to upset her, or seem conniving.
You can't stab her in the back if she knows about it.

go for it, he seems like a nice guy and Darryl already seems to have made his own decision on the matter. Hopefully Presley will understand and look elsewhere.

Let him ask you out. If Presley is truly a friend she will understand. Its just a date, not a lifetime commitment.

I don´t see any problem here, just don´t stop seeing you best girlfriend just the 2 of you as well...can´t he be your best male friend and she your best female friend ?(if you really need to give it a name)
