Unfortunately you will probably find that you, like me, are custom built for night time. You likely don't release enough melatonin (sleep hormone) when it gets dark like other people do. The fact that you are going to sleep at dawn suggests that your body wants to sleep at first sunlight. This kind of sleep behaviour has always existed and has been important for various reasons throughout human history (most obvious reason is 'night watch duty'). However there are certain triggers that will wake you that you should be aware of. For one, computer screens and lights stop you from producing sleep hormones, which are light sensitive, Also smoking pot will cause you to be tolerant to sleep hormone, as smoking pot actually causes your system to be flushed with the sleep hormone, so you are used to it. Alchohol is murder on sleep patterns too. Eating wakes up dormant parts in your system as does being stimulated by say, a computer game or an exciting book. I've had the same problem as you all my life and have found it extremely hard to manage, but you may not be identical to me so keep these trggers in mind and i wish you all the best!

A number of things can keep you awake. Caffeine, stress, anxiety, illness and the weather. You need to discover which one / ones. Cut out tea and coffee at night for a couple of days and see if that works. Are you constantly worrying about something, sort it out! Are there any other sympoms, see your doctor. As for the weather, there is nothing you can really do. Herballists etc. might try to con you into believing that herbal remedies help but only works psychologically which cannot solve the weather trouble. When we get sudden changes in air pressure (high to low / low to high) it can effect millions of people. Many can't sleep, some get headaches and many get headaches and can't sleep. Also, if you have been having thundery weather, the air will be thick and the temperature will be higher. Try opening some windows, not in the room you sleep in as the thunder will keep you awake, to get some air circulating.

May be a habit you have developed to go to sleap very late,or you may be stresed out of something and can`t get any rest until you solve it,or may be you have a health problem:eatting late in the evening, drinking coffee to much, not eatting what`right for you.Do tell more of your life style if you want a solution to your problem.

I dunno. I do it too. I think because the night is fascinating. Whereas when dawn breaks, I think, "Ew." It's boring. And mornings are connected to sleepiness for most people.
I'm underage, I don't drink.
