I have had 2 abortions and yes God has forgiven me. That was before I became a christian. My children are up in Heaven playing, and I will get to meet them one day soon.

Yes. God has forgiven everyone of their sins.
Still, a person will not be "free," unless they are truly sorry for their sins, and accept Jesus as their Savior. All any of us have to do is believe the truth: Jesus died so that we would not be held responsible for the penalty (eternal separation from God = Hell) associated with our sins. Once we realize the gift of His sacrifice we will want to turn from our sins (repent), and live a life that is pleasing to God.
If we pray to God that we thank Him for this gift, and ask for help in living our lives better, He will bless us with the gift of The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a comforter, and it is the Spirit of God dwelling inside a person, helping to give us the wisdom to know right from wrong, and the strength to do what is right.
God loves all of His children... No matter what the sin... All sins are equally in God's eyes. So, if you think abortion is worse than lying you are wrong... it is all sin to God... All of us have sinned and fall short of the glory of God... But He loves us all anyway.
God Bless!
Edit: To Daryl Jay, you have sinned, too. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Jesus taught us to forgive one another has He has forgiven us.

Forgiveness comes through repentance and faith on Jesus Christ. God would take into account whether she chose this course of action herself, or whether it was forced on her by her parents. He would take into account whether she knew it was wrong or not. He would take into account whether her life or sanity was threatened by the pregnancy. He would take into account how remorseful she was about it, too.
The level of "sin" involved would be related to her knowledge and intent.
For King David (who committed wilful murder and adultery in the light of great knowledge about God) he still had not received peace and forgiveness after spending the rest of his life repenting and calling on God.
For your friend, she will know when she is forgiven by the sweet spirit of peace that will come over her... but she can only be forgiven if she feels sorry for what she did, and sincerely prays for forgiveness.
I suspect that she may find forgiveness more readily than King David.

If the person truly repents of the sin of having had two abortions, there is no reason why that person should not be forgiven. God can forgive any sin, as long as the person is truly sorry.
If the person is Catholic, Orthodox or Episcopalian/Anglican, I suggest that she make an appointment to confess to a priest as soon as possible.

It does not matter what I think. It only matters what is inside your soul. Only God and you know your sins and the way you feel about them. If you acknowledge your transgression and wish to do better in the future then a righteous God will save you, but this is between you and him.

I can't speak for God, but according to Christian tradition they are forgiven as long as they are repentant.
