You can go anywhere within the confines of this solar system, but for some reason you're not allowed to go outside of this solar system.
If you're going to do that, though, make sure you find some very good advice, or someone who is adept to teach you. It can be spiritually dangerous to go astral travelling.

you go to the astral plane, you do not "travel" in an earthly fashion so you do not visit places.
