ive asked my guy-friends and they say no, they just say it to feel less guilty but they dont really mean it. this has happened to me a lot and i would just like to know whether i should believe them or not.

That's the chance you've just got to take. Some guys mean it, some guys don't. You can never really determine a guy's true intentions upon this question until after you accept or reject his proposal, especially after breaking up. If you truly want to be his friend, then by all means. Just know the gambit you're running, and the risk your taking. It's a 50/50 chance. Do you feel like playing?

Do you trust the dude? You cannot be like well it happens more than not, so ALL DUDES ARE THE SAME! Because not every dude is a complete moron. I know what you mean though, My ex-Justin dumped me and was like your really pretty, but your just not straight. I am completely!! and the funny part was he wanted to be Friends supposedly and never pulled through, other guys have. So it all depends on if you trust them.
