so me and my friend were on myspace and i told her to send my ex a message and she asked him if he likes anyone, and who he wants to go out with. he said "idontknow, i want to be single for awhile" what does that mean?
like does that mean he doesnt want to be tied down by one person and be able to talk to different girls or what?

It means he wants to hook up with a lot of girls. He doesn't want a relationship because his last one might have been a bad one (no offense but that's what it probably means).

it means exactly what he said. don't read to much into what an ex boyfriend says, hes probably smart enough to know that you are friends with the friend that you had ask the question. you guys broke up its not any of your business what he does now.

that happend to me 2! my ex. freind keeps pestering if i like anyone wich makes me think that the ex. still likes me or w.e. but i said the same answer ur ex said. i wanna be single for a while. this just means that we dont wanna be tied down to one girl all over again. we want to play around, whore around, mess around with different girls, it doesnt neccesary means that he doesnt like you anymore, maybe he does, but for the mean time he wants to have his fun till he's ready to commit to a serious relationship. goodluck

What would it mean if you said you wanted to be single right now for a while? Seems pretty straight forward to me.
