If they learn how to PLAY already, rock out a bit, and knock off the sing-songy sentimental crap, they may yet be taken more seriously by rock/metal bands and fans. Get rid of the excessive schmaltzy keyboards. They need not change a single lyric---just blow us away with some really mean power riffs and some really awesome chops on all instruments.
Otherwise, they should abandon the "rock" aspect altogether, and do more sing-songy sentimental crap but this time with a bluegrass/country beat like they should have, all along.

Listened to one a few weeks ago, Fairly talented but they could have used more instruments for different sounds. I didn't judge them as to why they were a Christian band and the market is wide open.

A lot of those bands failed in secular music for various reasons, and since the bar in "Christian" music isn't all that high....especially when it comes to looks, etc. I once had a friend who worked in Sony's A&R Dept., and you wouldn't believe how many secular bands went "Christian" because noone was buying their secular music. Same thing happens with a lot of washed-up R&B acts once their secular record sales have dried up. You'll see them pop up on church shows-until a secular label shows even a hint of interest. Then it's "bye-bye Jesus freaks" and hello hoochies-until their secular saled dip again, and the cycle continues.

Mute the sound and just look at them. Some look identical to Heavy Metal secular groups. Then turn the sound on.They sound alike. The words may be warm and fuzzy, but so are many secular songs. We are to come out of Babylon as Christians.I'm not broaching the subject of whether or not one should listen to rock music.I'm simply saying that Christian rock is oxymoronic; and worse because they should know better.

u know for sure that they r authentic, coz the money is slow in comin...u really hav to believe to stand against distraction and opposition...many hav left the straight and narrow to make secular music, and r still closely connected to christian bands and Christ.everyone makes their own choice.

Probably a little bit of both. Even if they are for real, those they surround themselves with as far as music industry go, they're probably just regular people out to make a paycheck.
