I would say, "Can we take it a tad bit slower? I'm totally interested but I know nothing about you" lol. I would kind of be a little freaked, but his pretty face would take away all of that. ^_^

STAY AWAY FROM HIM
the guy is a sleaze -- might take you 6 months to figure it out if he's good at hiding it..but eventually, you'll find out he is cheating on you.
This may sound severe... but I'll stake my life on it 99% of the time.
could of possibilities...
A) doesn't respect women and thinks a simple line like that is sufficient
B) Just goes around saying that to 10 - 20 women a night 'til he finds someone who is nieve enough to think he's being 'honest'
C) He doesn't take relationships seriously....Girlfriend denotes a relationship...not an attraction, so he is trying to move from A to about G in one move.
Lot's of other possibilities but they all end in him NOT taking the relationship seriously and cheating on you.

Uhmm. I guess I'd be flattered. And a little freaked out.. Just the "Would you be my girlfriend?" Well. That takes a lot more than just being asked.
"Would you go out with me?" Now that I would go for.

I would definitely be a bit surprised, yes! If I didn't know him, I wouldn't exactly say yes to being his girlfriend as well.

It'll be a little awkard...but i would be flattered...and i would think your a stalker! asking the girl for her phone number might be better than asking them to be their girlfriend...
