I say that unless you have 3 wintesses who heard God's message to you, you have no right to claim God spoke to you.
This would cut down on the number of people who commit crimes and purport to be carrying out God's will, or at the very least eliminate those awkward moments at dinner parties when they start telling you about their message from God, their guardian angel or the Virgin Mary.
Failure to follow this law will result in you being locked up as a mental patient.

Well.. I say that you need 1,000+ witnesses in a mass-meeting, a majority of which are non-believers. Then, and maybe then, I might not consider you completely insane. :D

This Question is pointless and can have a billion answers all varying by ones belief. A Humans mind is fragile and can be changed or influenced by the simplest acts, so, a person may beleive they heard the voice God while in reality this person wanted to beleive it so much it became a totally convincing reality to them. We. All of us. Have no right to lock a person away for their mental convictions.

Funny, I have never been to a dinner party where someone announced they had a message from God, Mary or even St. Valentine...does that happen to you often???? Maybe your friends are serving a bit of illegal herbage in the salad?

wow I don't know why He stopped talking out loud. I will follow the answers with great interest Last I heard he spoke to JESUS probably when he was on his own. after Jesus's death people received messages through the holy spirit they spoke in tongues and there were interpreters to translate though i dont know why they couldnt just speak in their own language and do away with the middleman. You must hear him on your own sometimes yes?

God speak to people in public you think he shy no everyone mind inside god is ther that way he cant come out front of people.

God is NOT gonna speak in public as you call it anymore cause the world is so evil now. as far as witnesses i dont need a witness for God to speak to me when ever he chooses. as far as a "right" like you said, if he tells me to speak to someone you think im gonna obey man? NOT, i will speak to whom and when im told to do. dont worry, there will be a time when we wont be able to speak his name or have a bible in public. when that time comes some of us will be gone,but that will be when you will be wishing you would have listened.

It is man that has turned his back on God, not him on us. we can no longer hear him because there is so many things going on around us that we don't understand and when we hear a silent voiceof reason from within us, we stifle it, hoping it would go away.

I am sorry to tell you this but God does not actually speak to people, haha. God has no control on what people do and actually very little power. God only exist becasue people believe in him. That may be confusing, but when a bunch of people get together and try to do something to please God, they in a way create him.

No, those people are all delusional. The fact is that God became mute due to His extreme age, and can no longer communicate with His people. Any good Christian knows that!
