I have heard or read somewhere that several of the Psalms and at least one book of the Bible were written by angels. Anyone else know about this, and if so which are the passages referenced?

I do not require lectures about how angels didn't write any part of the Bible. Nor are personal opinions regarding the correctness of one belief or another helpful or welcome.
It is not my BELIEF that angels wrote any part of the Bible. I am merely looking for references to others' belief that they did.
For instance, only moments ago I found that at least some of the early Church Fathers believed that the book of Malachi was written by an angel. View the article here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malachi

Someone obviously made that up. But I never heard of it before.
Maybe you can write your own book explaining it and make it up as you go. Might sell a lot of copies.

Presumably that's the NWT, known to translate or put things in a way to try and deny Jesus' divinity. Whereas there may be some accordance but not entirely with the reliable standard translations (eg Jerusalem Bible, English Standard Version, New American Standard, KJV) in those verses, there are definite wrong translations with others, such as John 1:1 and John 8:58. He has become the Son, being set forth in this filial, humanly-understandable relationship for our benefit and salvation. He was eternally the Word, the radiance of God's being, as it says in Hebrews 1. I'm no theologian of course, so may have that inexactly put. But I think we should look at all scriptures about the Son. Would an angel(Jw view) or a just human (Mohammed's view) Messiah, "receive the worship of men and angels" as it says in the Daniel 7:13 prophecy?

All parts of the Bible were written by men, inspired by God Himself. Had any angel taken part in writing pieces, then the premise that the Bible, God's Word, is infallible would be moot. Basically, if an angel wrote a part of the Bible, then the Bible is a lie. I have to say that isn't so.
EDIT: wiki is not a good source as anyone can put whatever information they want on there and it's rarely verified.

The Holy Spirit is the source of scripture.
Tradition holds that from time to time, the message of the Holy Spirit was delivered to a sacred writer by an angel.
And while some parts of scripture pretty clearly allude to such a thing, we don't know for sure about when, where, or what.

Hello! bishopsjewells.
In the age of the Jews, angels were used to communicate the Law and Bible doctrine. .
Every phrophet in the Old Testament had a communicating or teaching angel.Galatians 3:19.
Take care!

No,and the way we get solid answers is to look for them in God's Word.It states that the prophets were divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit.Doesn't matter what the early church fathers, or anyone else for that matter, believes.Plus, there are several writings riddled with errors that have writings of the Biblical prophets smattered throughout them. And they were used by gnostics and occultists in witchcraft. The book of Enoch is one such example.

Mormons claim to have the Book of Mormon given to Joseph Smith by the angel Maroni written on golden tablets.
The Bible as we understand it was written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Scriptures are never written by angels. Angels are not blessed for this. Only angel Gabriel (Holy Spirit) is assigned to convey God's message to his prophets and to some pious men in dream.

There was one prophet who kept 3 scribes busy for many days on end, (without rest), then threw out most of what they had laboured on. "The world is not yet ready for this" he said as an excuse.
Baha'ullah did that too. He had scribes at hand for several days (and they had a heck of a time keeping up), then he tossed it into the river, or asked them to wash the ink off. "The world is not yet ready for this" he said as an excuse.
I keep wondering what the heck was in that book, and I really really want to read it. I hope that one day we will be able to.
