We all have our own reality- the way we perceive the world to be, not the way we want it to be necessarily, but how we think it operates, what God/the Universe is, etc.

Most people think there is an absolute truth that is true whether we believe it and see it correctly or not.

Many religions claim their reality is definitly the same as the absolute truth.

If this describes your beliefs, how do you know your reality is the absolute truth?

Isn't all we have our own perceptions? How can you be sure then?

A feeling of experience with God/the Universe doesn't make your reality absolute, all it means is you are tapping into something. You could still be experiencing it "wrong".

King Herod asked THE LORD JESUS CHRIST saying What is the truth? That was after THE LORD JESUS CHRIST said I AM the truth. But THE LORD JESUS CHRIST did not answer King Herod as HE remained silent. Thus, the ultimate truth are the mysteries of THE KINGDOM (kingdom of heaven and Kiingdom of GOD) where the LORD JESUS CHRIST will rule over unto Omega-the unending world. Even so THE LORD JESUS CHRIST said to HIS disciples To you the mysteries of the kingdom are revealed but to them (the natural men) they come in parables; thus, seeing they cannot see and hearing they do not understand. It is so because the understanding of the mysteries of the kingdom are not yet revealed to them but it will be revealed to them in the soon coming kingdom of heaven. Since this is R & S, there are dogmas and beliefs as its goodnews or the gospel of the KIngdom through the Prophets. Thus, you will not miss this time, this objective reality of the coming Kingdom of heaven ruled by THE LORD JESUS CHRIST to start in the year 3500. THE LORD GOD is A SPIRIT and is HIS body as an objectively realtiy is a perfect body which does not decay even unto eternity and unlike men whose bodies are imperfect and so easily decay in a very short span of time. HIS powerful and perfect body is described in Revelation 1:14-15 with eyes like flames of fire and HIS face like the sun in its brilliance and HIS feet like burning bronze. This shows us that the celestial heaven is a powerful environment which we still need further revelations from THE LORD GOD to have a clearer understanding about it. Likewise, this universal kingdom is the same earth-universe continuum only it wll be transformed into garden of eden-its trillions of planets and moons in the 2nd comng of the LORD JESUS CHRIST to rule over it. This reality is a semi-perfect reality as the transition of men in this universal kingdom are not gods yet but merely angel-like. And its garden of eden is actually half-paradise which will be in the celestial heaven or the new earth and the new heaven 15 billion years from now or everlasting age of the universe to its old age as it will be melted away; the celestial heaven is with its countless puregold planets to its unending rims, will come down to our space and with its center is THE CITY OF GOD, THE HOLY CITY JERUSALEM, the mother of all (Rev 21:10-21 and Gal 4:26). The celestial heaven is perfect world where it is not bounded by space and time as our earth' s existence and will be under then the gov't or Kingdom of GOD unto omega-the unending world. Even so, the imperfect logic of man is not applicable in the Kingdom of heaven and the Kingdom of GOD where man's logic is -one plus two equals three is comparatively in the Kingdom of heaven is one plus two equals to faith in GOD with its universal effect as the angel-like men will inhabit the whole uinverse and travel instantly from one galaxy to another galaxy through a door-THE LORD JESUS CHRIST saying, I AM the door anyone can come in and out and find green pasture-the universal garden of eden; and similarly the one plus two logic is not equal to three in the Kingdom of GOD but equal to faith in GOD with its eternity effects, as the gods therein will inhabit eternity and not bounded by space and time as man does thus, with his imperfect logic and faulty reasoning . As a prophet this is my duty to reveal this truth as a goodnews or the gospel of the kingdom. But I always say, I am an unprofitable servant I have done what was my duty to do (in the parable of the servant). THANKS GOD; FEAR GOD; PRAISE GOD; GLORIFY GOD; HONOR GOD; LOVE GOD AND WORSHIP GOD.

Nice question!
The universe isn’t stranger than we imagine; it’s stranger than we can imagine.

We throw words like “Truth” around quite a bit.
I love Science and the one thing about science is that the more we know the more there is to know.
The questions of science aren’t questions about the general age of the Earth as some here think. Science knows roughly how old the Earth is, and the fossil evidence shows that evolution was the architect of life.

The mysteries of Science are things like:
Why do cosmic rays exist?
Why can’t we see 90% of the universe?
How does order arise from chaos? (Emergence science)

There was once a Nation of Native Americans that believed that the universe was created the moment you became aware, and that this universe would be destroyed the moment you died. This belief was scorned.

Quantum physics however indicates that alternate universes are spawning from this universe every moment. Current research indicates infinite numbers of universes each spawning infinite numbers of universes themselves. So perhaps the old Indian was right.

Blessed Be!

No other founder of a religion made the same radical statement that Jesus made: "I AM the way and THE TRUTH and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

Jesus also said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:31

Applying the truth of God's Word to your life is the crux of the matter.

Also look at how a certain religion has shaped its culture.
Although the Western world cannot be considered Christian anymore, still its roots are Christian and I would say because of it they enjoy they most freedoms of any culture in the world.

No one is absolutely sure about the ultimate reality. I can honestly say that the people who say that they know the ultimate truth are more than likely deluded- especially if they say that they can tell you what it is. Yet, sometimes we do get glimpses, these glimpses are indescribable. The ultimate truth, in my experience, is ineffable and unknowable.

I must correct you in your additional details, everyone experiences correctly in their own way, given the tools developed from birth to adulthood; the difference is in how we interpret those experiences. How we think about the experiences, that is the difference. There is the truth that is experienced, and the truth that is talked about; which has the most personal value?

I believe in the Holy Flying Spaghetti Monster. We have much evidence as described by the Holy Founder Bobby Henderson:

"We have evidence that a Flying Spaghetti Monster created the universe. None of us, of course, were around to see it, but we have written accounts of it. We have several lengthy volumes explaining all details of His power. Also, you may be surprised to hear that there are over 10 million of us, and growing. We tend to be very secretive, as many people claim our beliefs are not substantiated by observable evidence. What these people don’t understand is that He built the world to make us think the earth is older than it really is. For example, a scientist may perform a carbon-dating process on an artifact. He finds that approximately 75% of the Carbon-14 has decayed by electron emission to Nitrogen-14, and infers that this artifact is approximately 10,000 years old, as the half-life of Carbon-14 appears to be 5,730 years. But what our scientist does not realize is that every time he makes a measurement, the Flying Spaghetti Monster is there changing the results with His Noodly Appendage. We have numerous texts that describe in detail how this can be possible and the reasons why He does this. He is of course invisible and can pass through normal matter with ease."

After reading this explanation, I am sure you will agree and recognize the Flying Spaghetti Monster as absolute Truth.

Actually, it doesn't describe my beliefs. I'm not sure there is one Truth, at least not in the way most people imagine it.

I wonder if 'truth' isn't a feeling, a recognition of something inside us. And while the feeling is the same for all (perhaps), how we get there is different for everyone.

Many paths, one goal. A happy life with meaning and love.

Maybe.

Yes you are right people do have their own perceptions and ideas but does that mean that they are all true or right? So how can we be sure then, that we have the right perception or idea? Well if you want to make sure that you have the right uinderstanding of say a disease that you may have been diagnosed with, you do research in a medical book! If you want to make sure you have the right understanding about some scientific matter, you do research in a science book! If you want to make sure that you have the right understanding about Geographical locations you research an Atlas! If you want to make sure that you haver the right understanding of Mathematics, you research a Mathematics book! But if you want to make sure that you have the understanding of God's Will and purposes, you pray for help from God and research his Word the Bible.

I was Baptist at one point, but nomatter what I was told had experiences myself that proved some of what they believed wrong, I was told " That happened back in the Bible days but cant happen in modern time" I new that was wrong because I experienced it. I believe in a way all religions are right, if we took a piece of everyonces belief then we may finally find what God was trying to say.

I dont get on anything that leaves the ground, period.

Clinging to absolute truths is a sign of immaturity in my opinion, having to do with arrested development. People struggling with abandonment issues usually have this tendency stronger, as they need a sense of certainty/security in the world. This is why pointing out uncertainties to them never works. You're taking away their security blanket. They won't let it go if they still need it. I've seen atheists and religious people like this.
Emotionally mature adults have an easier time dealing with and accepting an uncertain world.

As all beliefs are 'true' for those who do the believing - i think the quest is to find a model/belief/thought that makes all beliefs 'true'.
Then that will be the 'absolute truth'.
Each of us has a piece of the puzzle and each piece is as important as all others.
What we search for is always a larger view that in no way negates any other.

Every one knows the truth, is the truth, it is just covered over with lies, mainly through society and religion. Once you see the *truth* of your self it's like coming home, you know where you are. This one truth is the same for everyone though it might be expressed in different words. Read the Mystics they all agree, better yet find the truth of yourself. What can be thought is not the truth. ~*~
