Research has shown that sitting too close to the TV may fatigue your eyes, but will not harm your eyesight. (Children or people who are already nearsighted will tend to sit close to the television because they can see it better up close).

no. it is genetic. eye strain is a myth as your eye focuses constantly and is not strained any other time, so why would it be when you are looking at the tv?

not sure of that but i do know it strains your eyes and that's not good.
