I Boudht my wedding bands seperate from my engagement ring and they were supposed to make the bands the same size as my engagement ring and then sauder them together she never sized them because she said they were very close in size. Then when summer hit and I swelled a little due to the heat the rings got to tight now she wants paid to size them Is that right?

unfortunately, you'll have to pay for the service. fortunately, this shouldn't cost more than 10 bucks. shop around for different prices...no one says you have to go back to her. bargain a little also to bring the cost down.

Rings can't be sized totally exact. If the band was close to the engagment ring size, & you hadn't asked that the engagment ring be sized, I'm not suprised she didn't bother sizing them. Now, if you requested both be sized & she didn't do it, you should have said at the time of picking your rings up that they needed sized. But, since you left the store & took your rings, you have to pay this time around. You shouldn't have taken them the first time if you weren't happy with the work, you needed to insist then that she size them like previously requested.

If you had said when you first picked them up that they were too small. Then it would of been up to them to resize for you. But as you left happy enough, and it is not a defect in the ring....it is up to you to pay to have them resized. Sorry, but you already had the engagement ring and she presumed if that was the right size for you as you had it previously the band should be ok, as it was the same size or close enough.
You will have to foot the bill for this one.

It should have been sized the first time BUT if you had a problem with it you should have not paid until they sized it correctly like you wanted them to.
If they were very tight to begin with they should have been sized appropriately and then soldered together.

Well since you didn't make her size them initially then yes unfortunately you would have to pay for them. Had you paid for the service and it wasn't conducted that's a different issue but after a year most people wouldn't be willing to make the service free.

yes you should have to pay for it. You should have known ahead of time that in the summer your ring will be tight and in the winter it will be loser. My fiancee and i know a jewler and his wife gets it resized every season change which i think is crazy. Just deal with the little tightness for now and soon it will be comfortable agian. If you get them resized they may be too big in winter then u may need to get the resized again which would be crazy.

well if she is resizing the ring, due to your request, then yes, you have to pay extra for that. But I dont understand why you would have to get them resized. It's just a little swelling, and it shouldnt effect you too much, unless it's a major issue.

Yes. You would have been right there while she was checking the size.... that was the time to say something or ask. It's not her fault your fingers get swollen!
