I don't really know what the answer is but I have some ideas for you. There are quite a few atheist groups out there, and while it might not be the "outspoken force" you seek, it will give you a platform to let your voice be heard. As for me I am on the fence on what I believe, not sure what is real and what is fairy-tale. But I am looking towards people like you for the answers I seek. Start small and work your way up is the best advice I can offer.

Anti atheism is doing a lot harm to Christianity that it somewhat is in certainty anti Christianity – David Manley It takes in certainty in straightforward terms one to make a quarrel. it somewhat is ineffective for the sheep to pass resolutions in favour of vegetarianism, whilst the wolf remains of a distinctive opinion. - William Ralph Inge. Why so blind to what motives the backlash against christianity? all the different religions and atheists stay in peace and are in straightforward terms attacked with the help of undesirable christians which motives all stable christians to melancholy on the wear they do! Up till approximately 40 years returned Christianity became thriving and there became no conflict with others yet in purely those few short years the popular christians are starting to be illiberal, hate filled, bigoted and persecuting ensuing in a growing to be backlash against christianity and inflicting christianity to loose over ten % in decrease than a decade with the loss accelerating! The self destruction of Christianity is underway and the only element which could provide up it somewhat is to desert the undesirable human emotions, seek for to rediscover the belief of a loving god and act like it! Posts like yours that rigidity human beings greater far flung from God are driving you in direction of hell. So who're you working for the devil or the antichrist because of the fact it specific ain't the loving god!

Hmm, well I'm not sure a people who don't really represent a common entity because there's a lack of one can unite against people who do and believe they're ultimately right. But yeah, everyone should speak their opinion and be open to others. Sharing/debating points in a civil manner if necessary.

There is a small problem with that. Atheism is not a belief system, ideology, epistemology, philosophy, or religion. The only thing that Atheists share in common is a disbelief in God(s).
Atheists are spread out among every kind of group you can name with the exception of religion. They are even in the White House. Mr. Karl (“I’m not fortunate enough to be a person of faith”) Rove is an Atheist.
Good luck getting him in a room with some of the Atheists here on YA!

What on earth kinds of drugs are you on? Conservative Christians have been trying to rewrite the US Constitution for 200 years so they can turn America into a Theocratic Fascist state based not on the law of man but on the religious doctrine of their sadistic and humanity-hating God. They want to expel science from our classrooms and replace it with the folktales and mythology of illiterate semi-nomadic goat herders who lived thousands of years ago; who thought that the earth was flat; and who actually had to appeal to their God for a ruling on whether or not it was OK for them to have sex with their livestock.

I think that you should care less about taking a stand against someones belief. It's their belifef, not yours. Personally, i'm a christian. I belive in God, and i truly feel sorry for you. I mean i'm not trying to force my views on you here, but when you look out at the sky, and the clouds, do you really think it just evolved from a speck of dust? Where did that speck of dust come from then? All i can say, if that i don't "bash" you about being atheist. It's your choice, if you belive that, then so be it, so i don't think that you should be bashing christianity either. Just like muslim or any one elses beliefs. Challenging is one thing, bashing is another.I DO on the other hand, think that it's very important for christians to be informed about atheist beliefs, and atheists be informed about christian beliefs. So that both religions, can be based on firm ground, and knowledge of the other poinion on the matter. Hope this helps.

Obviously science is in decay at this moment in popular American culture. But what political party, of the same old TWO possibilities, can you back? I think we need to promote the bright lights of culture, as during the Dark Ages certain voices brought sense to Europe. And we need to live the simple, not 'expoitive' lives that follow our beliefs. Life is hard. Do right, for the benefit of the present and future.. There. That's atheism.

Does an atheist stand up differently than a Christian? (when will we stand up atheist?)
No one put you in the shadows, you are free to believe and follow any belief you desire. You also have the right to get out there and try to lure anyone else to your way of thinking.
However, don't be surprised if you don't have people jumping on your band wagon, it will take a lot more work to turn the millions who have a stronger belief to your way of thinking.
Before you "stand up out of the shadows", try to form your words properly in order to get your point across in English!

That's sorta-kinda my motto, and I'm sorta-kinda doing it now.
In all actuality, though, I don't care to remove Christianity from the followers. What you believe is a deeply personal journey that I don't wish to rob from anyone. All I'm asking for is to be left alone with the same respect. Don't force Him on me! I was already a Christian at one time, and there are many good reasons why I'm not one now. Elbowing into our laws, schools, and hospitals is just plain arrogant bullshit and THAT's what I fight against.

To say there is no God is to say you have enough knowledge to know there is no God. But an atheist can never have enough knowledge to be certain there is no God. He would have to know everything, because if there is something outside his area of knowledge, that something could include God. An atheist would have to be everywhere in and out of the universe all at one time, because if there is anywhere he cannot be, God could be there.
No atheist can claim total knowledge, therefore atheism is self–refuting, because knowing everything and being everywhere is to be like God. Since no one can prove ‘there is no God’, the question becomes irrelevant and so does atheism. Thus, Creation cannot be ruled out as a potential alternative.
