You are not a weird, you just have some issues that need to be addressed. Nothing wrong with that. What's wrong is if you ignore them. Therefore, the best way to address your concerns is by seeking counseling. I know often people don't want to do this, but it really can be be beneficial. Especially for the symptoms that you are describing.

You are absorbed in a downward-inward spiral.
Nothing wrong with you in general, you'll just miss out on a lot of fun in life.
I'll make a statement here and see if you can try it out and agree with it. Of course, maybe you can't. Not everybody can.
"Your thoughts are yours to have and control".
That's my statement.
Now, if you want to prove it, next time you have a scary thought, acknowledge it. Say: "Ok, I'm having a scary thought".
Now think of a stage.
You know, all life is like a stage, and we actors.
Let's say your scary thought is an actor, and it has entered the stage. No problem. Let it have center stage while you're looking at it.
Now move that thought to stage left, because you want another thought to appear center stage.
Pick one great thought - it doesn't matter what, as long as it's a really great thought - and put it center stage.
Now order this great thought to stage right.
Now pick one really silly thought - doesn't matter what thought as long as it's really silly - and let it appear center stage.
There. You have just now CONTROLLED your thoughts.
Did you make them disappear? No. Was it necessary to make them disappear? No.
Practice directing your thoughts this way. It's a lot of fun and doesn't require any people around. You can do it all by yourself.
You can also learn that you can THINK a lot of different 'center stage' thoughts instead of always the same boring paranoid BS.

All the above are really great answers so I won't say much. Only that God loves you and doesn't want you being hurt, so He gave you Guardian Angels. Also, whenever I get scared about something I say "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not fear." I say that many times a day and it helps so very much. I used to feel I deserved bad things to happen, because I wasn't as good as I thought I should be. Sometimes I did things even if I knew it was best I didn't. I wasn't a good little lamb so why should the Shepherd take care of me. I was the black sheep of the family. But then I bought this clock. It has a picture of Jesus, and lo and behold, he is holding the black sheep in His arms. And it is the naughty little lamb that He leaves the flock to go and find and bring back to safety. Believe that you are Precious and Protected. Blessings and Bliss! - Bunny

I run my own site and this is a very common complaint/concern for many people. The thing with anxiety is it needs a release and this can mean that it manifests itself in strange weird thoughts, they are honestly nothing to worry about, I also had them and found the best way was to let them have their space, DON'T try not to think like this, don't try and push your thoughts away or control them, just let them come if they wish but pay them little respect. They actually rely on your fear of them to hang around. You have to go against your sub conscience and see them for what they are , just a habit of anxiety, they may seem real and scary but they are not important.
I know how awful this may seem and it can take time to reverse things, it is all about dis-trusting the way you think and to see them as thoughts, something to just float past and try and start living along side them, this is when you may start to take less notice of them and bring other things into your life. I have a page on my site about this very subject, you can find it here

I hope it helps.

Sorry however staying busy isn't going to "treatment" nor dispose of your nervousness. That might be like telling you to simply pull your self up through your bootstraps or in different phrases "recover from it". You won't always need to take drugs however a few variety of treatment demands to be sought out so you'll get to the foundation or what's inflicting the nervousness. There are a few very moderate, non addictive drugs to be had for nervousness similar to Buspar however just a Dr. will likely be equipped to inform you what's nice for you. I do desire you'll get the aid you wish to have and deserve alternatively of ready to just need to get aid later whilst matters are potentially worse. I desire you the nice~

I feel the same why you do. I am thinking about talking to a doctor and seeing what they have to say. This could start to get out of control. But if your not normal then I am not. But then again what is normal in the first place. I think as long as your not hurting anyone or yourself you are ok.

Im no psychologist, but what you're describing is not normal and needs to be diagnosed. I suggest seeing both a psychologist and psychiatrist.
You may have paranoia. However, if you realize the paranoid thoughts are ridiculous, but still feel as if the thoughts are real and valid, you may have OCD.

you have paranoia. And it sounds like a severe case of it. Paranoia is the constant worry that you may be in danger. You should get checked out by the doctor. Tell him or her what is going on. This is a serious condition.

What you are describing is no way to live. It's not something you will "shake off " eventually. Go to a doctor and ask to be referred to a psychiatrist who can prescribe meds to help you live like a "normal person".

Try to have the rational part of yourself help to calm down the emotional part. If you have a fear of something specific, try to think about if that fear is logical. It may be. There may be real dangers. But if you think about it and analyze it and decide that there is no real danger, then your emotional side should start to calm down. Try to figure out specifically what it is that your emotions are responding to and analyze it.
