God put it there for a reason. Same as under the arms it's there for the purpose of smooth movement and to prevent chafing. There is no health perspective for removing it...women do get that area shaved when having babies or people get it shaved when they go to the hospital for operations because things done in a hospital and for certian operations have to have everything sterile and hair can carry bacteria and such and cause infections in a setting like a hospital.........But, it's a thing that people have with all removal for cleanliness and sex but there's no need to ever remove it for those purposes...it's a matter of taste and decision between a couple.

As far as I know, pubic hair has no beneficial use from any stand point. However, I find that removing it is very beneficial. If you remove it, it won't get snagged in your undies, less mess during your period, and it allows for better air flow around your vagina so theres no trapped odors from sweating or anything like that.
