Reality separates you from god... you are - he isn't.
You can't reunite until you've been united a first time and that has never happened and never will.
Silly questions... Open your eyes, folks.

How can we be re-united with God? Jesus is the way! Jesus took our sin upon Himself (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus died in our place (Romans 5:8), taking the punishment that we deserve. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead, proving His victory over sin and death (Romans 6:4-5). Why did He do it? Jesus answered that question Himself, "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13). Jesus died so that we could live. If we place our faith in Jesus, trusting His death as the payment for our sins - all of our sins are forgiven and washed away. We will then have our spiritual hunger satisfied. The lights will be turned on. We will have access to a fulfilling life. We will know our true best friend and good shepherd. We will know that we will have life after we die - a resurrected life in heaven for eternity with Jesus!

Hi, Sin most definitely separate us from God. If you want to re-unite, you simply pray a sincere prayer for forgiveness. God is a forgiving God and is always waiting and wanting us to repent. Have a blessed day.

1 John 2:1 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
Romans 4: 7"Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered;
8 blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin." (English Standard Version)
Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned— 13for before the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account when there is no law. 14Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come.
15But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! 16Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man's sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.
18Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. 19For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
(New International Version)
YES, sin does separates us and we can only be reunited though Jesus.
God bless

Sin distances you from God, how do you get back? You make a sincere repentance. The word in Arabic that means repentance is Tawba which means to turn around, so the action of repenting is turning back to God.

yes, sin separates us from God, he cannot look upon sin, he hates it, and that hate is justified.....because he cannot look upon sin, we are separated from him, but the good news is that because Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, he paid that price that we would have to pay...death....so that we can be eternally united with God if we confess our sins and believe that he did all of that for you, you will share in the inheritance and will become a child of Him, forever, no matter how bad you've sinned, or will sin....believe me, i know, i've done things i know i shouldn't have done, but that doesn't change my salvation.....you can have that same security in Christ

Major sins cause the Muslim to be considered as having an Imam which is incomplete. When they stop sinning and repent and perform all obligations, they would be considered as having complete Iman.

By discarding the evil qualities within the heart, and allowing Gods qualities to replace them, and fill the heart!
Then there will be no separation!
