I don't think one necessarily negates the other. I believe in evolution, intelligent life on other planets, and that the universe is ever-expanding. I also believe that (a) God started it all in motion. Those beliefs can exist together. For me they have to.

What was there before there was anything here?

If he's your friend as you say he is, you should respect his beliefs. Belittling his will only make you look bad and make Him want to help you even more. My thought process is that you must be searching for God, otherwise you wouldn't care so much, how does what he believes effect you in any way? God is the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end, all that is and was. Jesus is the way and the truth and the life. Let you friend be!

Why do you assume that your friend hasn't given his ideas as much thought as you've given yours? And why is it so important to you that he drops his beliefs in favor of yours? Are there other gods/goddesses that you feel are more suited to him?

If your friend is truly being harmed by either the belief or practice of his belief simply explain why you're worried about him. If you are disturbed because he believes in something that has no legitimate value or truth to YOU, you might consider that it's not your friend who has a problem, but you might if you can't stand the fact that he has a belief that you can't or won't share.

Firstly the Bible doesnt teach that the earth is only 7000 years old.The Bible is silent on the age of the earth. It is human life that has only been around 6000 odd years.
Why dont you leave your friend alone. If you want to believe in little green men,why cant he believe in a almighty spirit being that created all things.

Anything that you would use to try to say God doesn't exist would be like many scientific theories. They are just there as an excuse that people use to not believe in God.

Just like that... However it didn't convince me, It won't convince Him and if you like your friendship you might want to avoid having a massive breach in your friendship...

My brother in law is an athiest, and we don't dscuss the evolution and Christian stuff to the point where we hurt each other we discuss our side and we both listen... and agree to disagree, I just have to tell him...

You don't seem much like a friend to me?

Why would you want to piss off your friend?

Anywho, nothing you say will change his mind, I'm sure he has the truth and is sticking to it.

You can not prove the non-existent of something that doesn't exist. As to evolution and the age of the earth, take some biology and geology classes.

Well, you have every right to believe that God doesn't exist...but it is not right for you to go off feeding your beliefs to your friend, what kind of friend would that make you? That should be his choice.

You cannot prove that God exists, yet you cannot prove that he doesn't either.

Wait, you want to make your friend think but you just want to piss him off? Right. Go ahead and see if it's worth the friendship.
