Exactly what is the difference between intellect, knowledge, and wisdom. I would argue:

1. Intellect: mental horse power
2. Knowledge: accumulation of information
3. Wisdom: Right application if intellect and knowledge into action.

What would your definition be?

Kind and funny answers only please.

Define Intellect

Ah, you're making me think! Okay, I will do my best.

Intellect is the capacity for reason, affected as it may be by environmental factors. I view it as a fluid quality, not a concrete one. I prefer this definition that is plasticist in nature because I feel too much emphasis can be placed upon non-apparent variables; remember, Einstein was considered little more than a moron in his youth.

Knowledge? Well, more than just facts and figures, I believe here in the active application of resources to make a worthwhile basis for usefulness. After all, a description of any process may be found in books, or the internet, but utilization and practical application of the knowledge is necessary for it to have any life. What use is knowledge that no one understands or can apply? I'll give an example:
Who is the better teacher? The one who tells their students a fact and expects them to accept it as true, or the one who demonstrates the feasibility of the knowledge they are imparting? Knowledge without demonstrable viability may as well be religion(Sorry, the Atheist in me showing through!).

Wisdom? Well, wisdom is the balance between intellect and knowledge, and the catalyst for the same. It is the spark of wisdom that lights the intellect and inspires the individual to seek the knowledge they need to apply to life. I know this sounds a bit poetic, but wisdom is the poetry common to all our live's experience---at the end of the day, we have acquired the wisdom to appreciate the poetry inherent in everyday life.

Sorry to be so wordy, but hey, your question inspired me!

Your definition is great and that is how I would define these three. Intellect and/or knowledge alone do not equal wisdom. But wisdom certainly does consist of intellect and knowledge. However, wisdom involves more than just knowledge and intellect. A wise person takes knowledge and intellect and from that develops a deep understanding and a capacity for sound judgment.

The intellect is what judges information and assimilates it.
Knowledge is an accumulation of information, I agree.
Wisdom, however, is knowledge gained from God who is Holy Wisdom, or Hagia Sophia. Anyone can gather facts, and assimilate them, but anyone can be deceived. God can not. Therefore, "absolute" Truth can only be gained by seeking God, Whom shares His Wisdom with His children.
Good Question.

INTELLECT is the capacity to learn.

KNOWLEDGE is information that you have verified for yourself.

EDUCATION (what you call "knowledge") is acquired learning based on knowledge, deduction and testimony. (The fact that I was taught something doesn't necessarily make it true!)

WISDOM is the attribute of a person who puts their acquired education to good use that benefits everybody.

One word will do it for me, okay, three...Saved by Grace...

I had enough intellect to know I needed to search for the truth...I accumulated all the info I could and then I applied it by following through with getting my behind in gear and getting saved. Makes me a blooming genius!

Knowledge is stuff you know.
Intellect measures the ability to access stuff.
Wisdom is knowing that in the big picture no stuff matters.
