We have a 4 month old toy poodle. She rarely cries at anything, except when she hides her bones. She cries whilst they are in her mouth and once hid she starts running around all happy again. Anybody have any idea why she migh do this?

How bizarre! She must be really stressing over it. Her instinct is telling her to hide them quick or some other animal will come and take them away, but I've never heard of a pet getting that worked up over the job. Even tho she is anxious however, I wouldn't think it would hurt anything, it sounds kind of cute.

maybe she's worried that something will happen to her bone before she finds a good hiding place. her bones are very important to her.

Separation anxiety. -Parting with bones must be "such sweet sorrow..."- for your little Poodle. ! :)
