$100 is about average; uniforms anywhere from $20 - $50; it depends on what you're getting and how you feel at the school. When researching martial arts schools, go there, try it, take classes, month promotions if they have, do whatever you need to do to see if you feel good there; DO NOT look at price first! If you are paying $50/month and the instructors are nasty, the school is dirty and you can come 7 days a week, is it worth it? Also, don't be swayed by tournaments wins, etc (these are usually no indication of their capabilities and their ability to teach you).

My school charged $125/month for 2 days a week for teens and adults and I think we were under-priced. My grandmasters school charges about $189 for 3-4 days a week and I would pay double for the knowledge I am getting.

My special RBKD uniform cost $700 and my instructor uniforms cost about $130/piece, while student uniforms were about $50.

Looks like a good school. A lot of the fee they charge goes to cover the rent and other fees. A lot of times if a school is part of a bigger association it has to pay a tribute to the main school. With today's inflation rate $100 sounds fair as long as the school is a quality school. I don't particularly like the black belt in a year programs since people learn at different rates and the amount of knowledge you absorb would tend to be limited.
I took my classes in Sho Sho Ryu Aiki Bujitsu back in the 90's and it cost around $60 then. Good luck..

It depends on what you are getting. That is more than double what I pay. What do the other schools in your town cost?

Just try their promo if you like the school-from the website.
Summer Special-try karate this summer! 6 weeks and a uniform, only $47. Call one of our two locations and let us know you want to redeem your website special!

$47.00 for 6 weeks including a uniform is consistent with other prices around the country. This is a McDojo, unless you like the "Little Ninjas" program.

You should look at other schools in the area to compare prices, I am a current student there an findthe tuition rates are very competative with other schools in the area. Also, the quality of instruction is well worth the price. I would continue trying classes before you decide you're being "taken for a ride"

My Tae Kwon do school gave me 30 days for $30.00 and a free uniform. It really depends on where you go. Most schools charge more than that.

Be careful about choosing a school that wants more than 100.00 a month. It depends on how much they want you to pay each month.

How many classes does that get you.

My School charges 100 bucks a month also but if you pay it you can attend as many classes as you choose.

If you go to all the classes no it is not. If your only going once a week, just find somewhere else. A lot of classes are weekly and are cheaper. But if you want to go all the time $100 is a good deal.

This depends upon where you are and how often the classes are offered.

*Large cities/high rent area tend to be more expensive than other locations.

*One or two hours per day, 4-7 days per week is a pretty cool deal at $100.00/month.

*I pay $100.00/month at 1 hour/day, 3days/week for myself and my two kids in a low rent area in Sacramento County, CA.

100 is definetly not a lot for karate classes. depends on how many days you attend in one month. if its 4-7 classes then its worth it.
