The best way to learn Algebra is to learn from a Math book and ask someone to teach you. The best way to come to know the God of the Bible is to read the Bible and ask Him to reveal Himself to you.

My husband and I have become born again christians 2 years ago. When we did this we had very little biblical education. Since then we have absolutely tried to absorb every fragment of knowlege that we can. We go to bible studies religiously and converse daily with other christians who are usually more experienced than what we are. We also pray before hand that He will show us His word and help with understanding Him and not "leaning on our own understanding". Very difficult thing to do but I'm sure God keeps us hopping so that we don't ever get cocky about our needing to learn and repent. Hope this helps.

pray, open your heart to him...if you seek him you will find him, he's waiting for you to just ask. ask jesus into your life , to forgive you of your sins, to save your soul, and to guide you down the right path. start reading the bible, if you don't know anything about the bible yet, i would suggest that you start in the new testament...matthew1, and find a good church or bible study group that can answer your questions, and help you grow in your faith. just take it one day at a time, and you will slowly see a major change in your life. you will become a different person, more like jesus, a more compassionate person, and slowly He will take away your desires to sin. you wont stop sinning all together, but when you do sin, you will be convicted of it and realize that there is no use for it in your life.

read the Bible, spend time in prayer, hang out with other believers. God knows if you are seeking Him, and you will find Him (Matt 6:33). God bless you

Read the original Bible Gospel of the Nazirenes. google gospelofthenazirenes.com for the original New Testament before King Constantine added, omitted and misconstrued so many thing in the bible. Then you will really get to know who Jesus was and who His and our Supreme Father is.

Don't listen to anyone else tell you what to believe. Read a version that is scholarly, like the Oxford Revised Standard. Start with the Psalms. Read by yourself, quietly, for about 30 minutes, then sit quietly with your eyes closed for about 30minutes and think about what you've read. Do this every day for a couple of months.
