Your list is backwards. #1. is safety #2 is gas mileage and in about 20th place is a DVD player.

Depends, at the top of my list is how practical the car is for my uses. I need my 1 ton diesel truck for work(14mpg).....we need our SUV for getting the family around and trips(15 daily driving/ 20 highway).......we use our compact sedan for errands and trips that don't require the whole famn damily(24 daily driving/ 34 highway). As far as safety is concerned, the best safety device on any car is the driver.
