God accepts only Christians into heaven? (Followers of Christ.) Also, do you believe that God is Christian? Is the Creator of the Universe a God who adheres to ANY particular religion---be it Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Wiccan, Buddist, ect.??

Arnon--I see it as foolish to think an almighty, all knowing God would be concerned with man made religions. I believe God looks at the heart and soul--not the religion you belong to.

Redtoes--are you saying that God will send millions to hell for not being Christian? Is God really as narrow minded as you are?

Jlk---so you are saying that God only looks at what religion you belong to and not the heart of the believer?

Jeancommunicates---but we aren't talking about religions--we are talking about a God who is Universal and belongs to everyone, to all beliefs. How can an all knowing, omnipotent God exclude someone because of religion? The very nature of God would make this impossible.

Commonsense---that doesn't make sense to me---God's Son was a Jew---are the Jews welcome in heaven? They don't believe in Jesus as the Savior! And the analogy of Christians sprouting up everywhere, while fairly accurate, still doesn't answer the question---Does the Almighty God adhere to man made religions?

PB----I am guessing from your answer that you believe NO ONE except Christians will be admitted into heaven. Right? Think about that for a bit and get back to me. It just doesn't compute--Biblically or otherwise!

P----doesn't God look at the heart? Isn't God greater than man made religions? Including Christianity? What did God do---did He say okay I'm gonna choose the Jews as my "chosen people", have them murder my Son, then damn them to hell for it? This thinking is flawed on so many levels.

Come on people---isn't there only one God! If the same God presides over all beliefs, how can you say that Christians are the ONLY ones who will get into heaven? What you are saying is that there are different beliefs and that yours is the ONLY right one---that doesn't have anything to do with the one and only real GOD!

D H --- again you are mistaking God for a religion. The two are not interchangable. Try to see GOD as an all knowing, omnipotent, omnipresent, non-human, Spirt-Being whose thinking and understanding are so high above ours that we can't ever know what His/Her judgements of us will be. In the end I believe you will see those of other religions, not just followers of Christ, will indeed be admitted to Heaven. Why? Because God deals with each culture and individual with complete understanding and knowledge. Can we at least agree that God is greater than any religion and knows more than we as humans ever could?

No. I believe that it isn't about the religion that a person carries, but the life they live. We have all sinned and have all gotten second chances. Who are we to judge and say that any others will not be accepted into heaven. I will never believe that a good and just God would send a good person to hell because they hadn't followed the word of Christ and had instead followed a righteous path that was just as true and healthy as any Christian's life had been.

As a Christian, I believe what the Bible says. In the Bible Jesus says, " I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." Also in Matthew chapter 7, Jesus says "Enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
If God accepted everyone of every religion into heaven, that way would be quite wide, wouldn't you agree? And if every religion was accepted by God, that would create a problem. It would make Jesus a liar. So Christianity cannot be put in the same grouping especially with Wicca, Buddhist, and Muslim beliefs, as well as many others.
So yes, I believe that God accepts only those who follow Jesus into heaven. This is the plan God has for mankind. We can only come to Him through Jesus.
WBusyCat4- You set yourself up to be God. You are saying God is over all religions. He isn't. You are making up a god that doesn't exist. The Bible does tell us who God is and what His plan is. Because of your unbelief you interpret things from a different perspective. It is clear from your statements that you do not know the God told about in the Bible. I didn't make up what I am saying. I am going by what the Bible says. It is your choice whether you will believe what the Bible tells you or not. But your statement about how my thinking doesn't line up with the Bible shows your ignorance of God's Word. Jesus came to lay down His life for His people. It was an act of supreme love. Yet you are not willing to heed His words. Are you God or is God God? Make your choice.

I see your question is still open to answers.
To respond to all of your questions would take several pages. I once held all of the beliefs that you do. You misunderstand Christianity because "Religion" has taken certain truths as most important (like hell) and used them improperly.
Everyone is a sinner in God's eyes, as he is Holy and cannot look on sin, and sin must be punished.
And God DOES look at a person's heart.
If you have told one lie, you are a liar. If you have stolen anything (irrespective of value), you are a thief. If you have looked with lust, you have committed adultery in your heart. If you hate someone, you've committed murder in your heart.
Everyone (all) are sinners, especially in their heart.
The sacrifice Jesus made was simple and the Jews 2,000 years ago had no trouble understanding what it meant - just that some had trouble believing Jesus was the "One".

Men profess to belong to a particular type of faith with reference to particular time and circumstance and thus claims to be a Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist or an adherent of any other sect. Such designations belong to the external material body only. As you say, we are spirit soul eternal servant of God. In heaven there are not such a thing of "religions", everyone there is serving God with love without material bodily designations, without envy after all everyone have their spiritual body which is different from the material body. Here in the material world everyone is envy one another, specially religious persons, how is possible that they will go to heaven with that feeling toward other living being, that is also a son of God?

I do not believe that god only accepts christians into heaven. I believe it depends on the person and situation. Take for example, if a child was born into a family that was not christian, so they never taught him anything about christ or took him to a christian church. The child grows up to be a model citizen, never commiting any sins and being an all around good person, but still not believing in christ. When that child dies, do you think our god will send him to hell because of what he was taught? It wasnt exactly the childs fault, and since he was a generally good person, i believe that our god would accept him into heaven. I believe that god will accept most of his children into heaven, nomatter what their religion is, as long as they are not evil in spirit.

I have seen many questions about God allowing people into heaven. God wants everyone to enter heaven. But, yes you must believe in Christ. Jesus is God's son, so he believes Jesus Christ died for our sins, that makes God a Christian.

God, the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit make up what we "Christians" believe to the Tri-une One and Only Almighty God of the universe. Humankind was lost with no hope of being reconciled with God after the sin of Adam. God required that we "pay" for our sins. God,the Father sent his son, Jesus Christ to live on this earth as a total human, but totally as God as well. When Jesus was crucified on the cross, He allowed that to happen to redeem, or "pay" for our sins. Jesus arose from the dead, victorious over death, and He teaches us that if we believe in Him, that He is the Son of God, resurrected from the dead, that He is our Savior, and our only way to reconcile with God, our only way to be saved and have eternal life, then He WILL save us. We will become His, and when we die will go to Heaven with Him.
Jesus is ALIVE, his grave is EMPTY. The Muslims can show you where their "holy" leader is dead and buried. So can the Buddhists. But our Savior is not dead and buried. He loves us and lives within our hearts.
It is a choice you make, a decision no one can make for you.
You cannot save yourself. But Jesus can.

God accept those who believe in his son and is obedient to his word. We have people in are church that were born to Jewish believers but these people hear the word of God (the lost sheep) and follow. Organized religion is the traditions of man and not of God.

God accepts people into Heaven who turn from their sins and who trust in the sacrifice that He has provided to make atonement for the sins that they do commit.
Hebrews 10:11 And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. 14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.
"are you saying that God will send millions to hell for not being Christian? Is God really as narrow minded as you are?"
People choose to be separated from God in this life and He honors their choice in the next one. It isn't a matter of people being narrow minded, it is a matter of God being Holy and Righteous. God cannot lie and He has said
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
His Love is demonstrated to us in this passage.
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
His righteousness in the following verse.
18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

I believe that God is Christ. I believe the Holy Bible is the Word of God written by men but inspired by God.
The God of the Bible adheres to Christianity and Jesus is a Jew.
Islam, Wiccan, Hindu, Buddist are all false religions. I'm sorry but there is no easy way to speak about other people's religions but that they are false. If it offends them, I speak the truth of God from the Holy Bible. God clearly tells me to not put any other gods before Him. God says, "Besides Me there are no other gods." That means all the rest are false and someone's made up story.
