Although dress rules have relaxed tremendously, I would say it depends on (1) the formality of the wedding party (are they all wearing sleeved dresses), (2) the part of the country the wedding is in (it can still be extremely hot in some areas of the US in September), and (3) the location of the wedding (outdoors, indoors, church, country club, justice of the peace). Best bet, check with the bride to see what the wedding party is wearing.

It will probably be fine. It depends on the fabric, too. Is it something that is on the reserved side? Is this an evening wedding? Where is reception going to be held? You might want to show the dress to a friend who's fashion taste you trust. Also, weather might determine whether or not it works. If you go with the halter dress, take a light cover up just in case you arrive and find it's not formal enough. A glittery or beaded cover will 'dress' it up!

I think a formal halter dress would be appropriate any time. September isn't too late in the year to wear it; except where I live (Alaska).

be sure the bride isn't wearing a crimson gown. crimson wedding ceremony dresses was classic in some factors of France and have made a comeback in the final 4 or 5 years. crimson is the main known selection in the back of white/ivory for wedding ceremony robes of French brides so be careful. regardless of if the bride wears white for the ceremony, she often adjustments right into a crimson gown for the reception. To be secure, i would not positioned on crimson to a marriage in Paris. even although you should make a great impact, outshining the bride is in no way good. perchance the halter gown you chosen is presented in yet another color?

It depends on the weather really. If it is warm enough, I would say its alright. If you will be too cold, then I would just wear something else. I live in south Texas, so you need something in Sept. that is cool because its still in the 90s down here then.

You know what I would do? I would just try to find out what others may be wearing because I don't see a problem with it as long as it is in good taste and not revealing or something. Ok, well, have fun and stay cool!
