I think that is a wonderful explaination of ignorance, it could also be a basic unwillingness, or even a fear to understand...imho

depending on what your meaning, if your referring to ignorance from one believing in who can save you, then id say the ignorance would be from choosing not to beieve. you can have your own ideas in what you wish, but yes some are gonna be thought of as ignorant. it has nothing to do with understanding ideas different from you.

Not quite. It's more the state of being unaware. Being unable to understand others who have different ideas is more associated with being close-minded or provincial.

No... Ignorance is just no knowledge or no understanding.
If a true "inability to understand..." exists (I think not), it must be due to *low intelligence* ( different from ACCEPTANCE of ideas different from yours, of course. )
